Body Wrappers’ midtown NYC showroom and creative office provides it’s designers a place to work with world class professional dancers and choreographers to learn the latest trends and needs of dancers. The original factory and warehouse in Elizabeth, NJ and an additional factory in the Dominican Republic, enables Body Wrappers to manufacture dancewear for ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, team and liturgical, as well as bodyliners, tights, costumes and Angelo Luzio shoes.

Founded in1981 and owned by President Marie West, creator of the first one-piece wrap-around-the-body garment (thus the name Body Wrappers), the company now thirty-eight years old, has grown to become a leading global brand with an organizational staff of more than 375 employees. In 2008 Body Wrappers merged with Angelo Luzio, a Canadian shoe manufacturer, headed by the late founders son Luigi Luzio, who researches and works with dancers to custom design each dance shoe style himself. Combining the two company names created Body Wrappers/Angelo Luzio, an American dancewear and shoe manufacturer.
