Product descriptionABOUT USIn 2002, Minus33 was created by textile engineers from L. W. Packard & Co. Inc. L. W. Packard has been involved in just about every aspect of the wool industry, and a proud family-owned business since 1916. In 1995, L.W. Packard was selected by Textile World magazine as one of the top ten textile plants in the world. With so much of our family history rooted in the wool industry, combined with our genuine passion for the outdoors, it only made sense for Minus33 to emerge as a merino wool clothing brand. Minus33 began as a snowmobile brand, and quickly expanded to other outdoor markets, such as hiking, skiing, and hunting due the versatility of our product offering. HOW IT WORKSNylon inner core provides extra strength and resiliency, as well as extra elasticity which helps achieve a tighter, athletic fit to the body. Merino wool outer sheath keeps insulation, moisture wicking, and UV protective properties next to the skin so you can still reap all the benefits of merino wool. WHY MERINO WOOL?MOISTURE WICKINGMinus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere. INSULATES WHEN WETWool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials. UV PROTECTIONDon’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+. RENEWABLEMerino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip. Micro BriefsEveryone has an underwear preference. Especially based on the activity you're doing. Sometimes you just don't need the extra fabric when you're on the move. Complete your collection with our Woolverino Micro Brief for when you want to keep it simple.
